Frequently asked questions
How many courts do you have?
We have four premium indoor Padel courts in our climate-controlled playing hall, so you can enjoy Padel whatever the British weather is doing outside.
I've never played Padel before. Can I still play?
Absolutely. Padel is easy to pick up and brilliant fun for beginners. Book one of our Introduction to Padel sessions and we'll show you everything you need to get started.
Do I need to bring my own racket?
No. Rackets are included with our introductory sessions and are also available to hire at the club.
What shoes should I wear?
If you're trying Padel for the first time, comfortable trainers with good grip are fine. If you start playing regularly, we'd recommend Padel or suitable court shoes for better grip and support.
Can I get changed at the club?
Yes. We have dedicated changing rooms with showers and lockers, so you can arrive ready to play or get changed at the club. We also have wheelchair-accessible changing and shower facilities.
What if I don't have anyone to play with?
No problem. Padel is a social sport and we'll make it easy to meet other players at your level through social sessions, coaching, events and our player community.
Do I need to book?
We strongly recommend booking in advance as popular times can fill quickly. Courts, coaching and activities can be booked through the MATCHi booking app, available from the Apple App Store and Google Play, or online through MATCHi.
How much does it cost to play?
Court hire starts from £42 per court per hour. With four players, that's from just £10.50 per person per hour. Prices vary depending on the day and time — see our Pricing page or booking system for current court prices.
Do you have food and drink?
Yes. Our first-floor Club Room is the perfect place to relax before or after your game, serving great coffee, drinks and snacks. We also have a selection of drinks and snacks available from a vending machine in the playing hall, adjacent to the courts.
What time are you open?
Breakpoint Padel is open from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week, giving you plenty of opportunities to play before work, during the day or in the evening.
Where is Breakpoint Padel?
We're at Unit A, Wensley House, 9 Purdeys Way, Rochford, Essex SS4 1ND.
Is Breakpoint Padel accessible?
Yes. We have step-free access to our playing hall and courts, dedicated accessible parking, an accessible WC and wheelchair-accessible changing and shower facilities. Our first-floor Clubhouse is also accessible by passenger lift.
How do I know what level I am?
MATCHi includes a player level system to help you understand your playing level and find suitable players and activities. Your level helps you find games with people of a similar standard, making matches more enjoyable and competitive.
If you're new to Padel and aren't sure where to start, don't worry — our coaching team can help you understand your level and find the right sessions and players for you.
